Ogun State Police Bring Down Two Suspected Armed Robbers From Onitsha

The police in Ogun state has brought down two suspected armed robbers at Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun State.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi while confirming the news said they were tipped off by an intelligent report that a robbery gang from Onitsha had stormed GRA in Ijebu-Ode to terrorize the State.

The operatives swung into action and accosted them at GRA area of Ijebu-Ode where they engaged in a gun battle which lasted for about 30 minutes, Before killing 2 of them.

According to him, arms and ammunition including one AK-47 rifle with Breach No-804403, two pump action guns with defaced breach numbers, 57 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, 32 rounds of live cartridges, some assorted charms were recovered from them.

He said an unregistered Toyota Previa bus they used for their operation was also recovered.
