The Telegraph reports Grant, 35, is likely to move to Old Trafford as cover following Stoke’s relegation to the Championship.
Grant is a free agent this summer and United are ready to agree a one-year deal, although it remains to be seen if the former Derby and England Under-21 stopper will ever play for the club.

United to bring in Palace academy chief

United boss Mourinho
Manchester United have moved to bring Crystal Palace’s academy chief Steve Higham to the club.
Academy head of operations and performance director with the Eagles, Higham has transformed the youth set-up at the Premier League club.
Since joining the club in 2007, Palace have shifted their academy away from the first team’s training ground at Beckenham.
The under-23s and under-18s both enjoyed success last term, winning their regional sections in their leagues.
Higham’s work has not gone unnoticed and now South London Press and Mercury report he will move to United.

Fellaini agrees new deal

Marouane Fellaini has agreed a new two-year deal at Manchester United.
The Belgian had expected to depart Old Trafford after struggling to come to an agreement with the Red Devils.
But he is now set to extend his stay at the Theatre of Dreams, according to Belgian outlet HLN.
The 30-year-old had attracted interest from Arsenal and AC Milan as he stalled over inking a new contract at United due to a supposed dispute over the length of the contract.
