I married all my wives as virgins, that triggered my decision to marry Regina Daniels- Ned Nwoko

Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels

Billionaire politician and humanitarian Ned Nwoko’s marriage to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels is still generating controversy as to what could be the basis of such attraction.

While some argue it is his attraction to light-skinned ladies, others say it is her youthfulness as there is a whopping thirty years plus age difference between the couple.

In an interview with Punch, while asked why he married the actress, here is what he had to say:

Why not Regina? When I met her, I didn’t even know who she was because I don’t watch movies, whether British, Nigerian, or American. Also, I am not a social media person. Up until that time, I didn’t have Facebook or Instagram accounts. So, I didn’t know about Regina until she came to my house with her family on a tour. My house in the village (Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State) is a tourist attraction of sorts.

I liked her when I saw her, especially when I found out that she was from that place. I had always wanted to have somebody (a wife) from my side. We were introduced to each other and one thing led to another. That was when I found out she is a very decent girl. I have always said that I wouldn’t marry anybody who isn’t a virgin and that is very important to me. When I found out that she was a virgin, it reinforced my decision to marry her. I married all my wives as virgins.

The couple who tied the knot last year welcomed a baby boy 2 weeks ago who was christened Munir on Friday in Abuja.

Speaking at the naming ceremony, Nwoko said even with the birth of his son from Regina Daniels, he was yet to meet his target in child-bearing.

He said at the appropriate time, the target would be known.

Nwoko who said he would father more children according to Islamic faith said he married the actress because she is peaceful, loving, disciplined, and homely.
“My little boy is bearing my middle name, Munir. It means light. It is an Islamic name and I am a Muslim. I am still very young, I have my target when it comes to child-bearing and I have not reached my target yet. God speaks through man. So when the time comes, you will know. Regina is a lovely woman, patient, easy-going, homely, disciplined, and peaceful”, he said.
